Sign Our Resolution: Show your support by signing this simple, commonsense statement:
Weaknesses in our laws have made it too easy for prohibited buyers, including felons and domestic abusers, to illegally obtain guns on the street, through classified ads, and at gun shows from unlicensed, private sellers. This dangerous and unfair "secondary sales" loophole should be closed. Just like when buying a gun from a licensed gun dealer, a person buying a gun from a private seller shoud be required to show identification and undergo a criminal background check. No background check, NO sale!

Contact Your Legislators: Write, phone or visit your members of Congress, the state legislature, or city council to express your views about illegal gun markets. Demand that more be done to close gun sale loopholes and to regulate large volume gun sales. Voicing your opinion does have an impact on how policymakers vote! Please visit our New England Action Center to access a listing of legislators in your state.
Write a Letter to the Editor: Write a letter to the editor or submit an Op-ed piece for publication in your local newspaper focusing on the loopholes in our laws that allow criminals and other prohibited purchasers, easy access to guns and to demand that our legislators do more to regulate gun sales. It's a great way to get others in your community to care about this issue.
Register to Vote: This is key! In order to ensure that candidates who are supportive of responsible gun policy get elected and stay in office, it is essential that you register to vote and then go to the polls once election time rolls around!
